    Vintage 1967 / 1969 “Soft Chair” – Susi & Ueli Berger for Victoria-Werke, Switzerland 

     

    The Soft Chair, designed by Susi & Ueli Berger and first produced circa 1967 (with production from 1969 onward), is an icon of postwar Swiss design. Its form is gentle and organic, made of vinyl-covered polyester foam that invites tactile engagement and visual softness. 

     

    This chair evokes an informal, almost anthropomorphic silhouette—relaxed yet sculpturally poised. Whether placed in a living room, studio, or gallery setting, it brings warmth and modernist charm.
